• Jasper Woods, 1401 Shumpter Road, Fulton, entered a plea of guilty to aggravated assault. He was sentenced by Circuit Judge Thomas Gardner to 20 years with all time suspended and five years probation. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and more than $2,844 in restitution.
• David E. Holland, 487 Downs Road, Columbus, entered a guilty plea to possession of controlled substances/prescription medicine acquired by fraud. He was sentenced by Gardner to five years with all time suspended. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine in addition to court costs and restitution.
• Matthew L. Young, 11310 Highway 178 East, Tremont, entered a plea of guilty to one count burglary of a dwelling. He was sentenced by Gardner to 20 years with 15 years suspended, five years to be served and five years probation. All time is to run consecutively. Young was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution. He is currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.
• Ricky Edward Vinson, 2010 Alice Hall Road, Golden, entered a plea of guilty to one count controlled substance violations and one count conspiracy. On the first charge he was sentenced by Gardner to 20 years with five years probation. On the second charge, he was sentenced to 20 years with all time suspended, to run concurrently with the first sentence. He was also ordered to attend RID. He is currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.
Vinson was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine in addition to court costs and restitution. His sentences are currently under judicial review.
• Ronald Wayne Vinson, 8308 Fairview Banner Road, Golden, entered a guilty plea to controlled substance violations. He was sentenced by Gardner to eight years with all time suspended and five years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution.
• Joe Sartin, 78 Kennedy Drive, Tremont, entered a guilty plea to two separate counts of controlled substance violations. On the first count he was sentenced by Gardner to three years with all time suspended. On the second count, he was sentenced to 20 years with five years probation. His sentences are to run concurrently. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution.
• Ronald A. Waddell, 301 Kennedy Street, Fulton, entered a guilty plea to one count burglary of a dwelling. He was sentenced by Gardner to 25 years with 20 years suspended, five years to be served and five years probation, with credit for time served. Waddell was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution. He is currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.
• Joshua Wayne Pate, 514 Gilmore Chapel Road, Marietta, entered a plea of guilty to three separate counts of burglary of a vehicle, train, boat or building other than a dwelling.
On the first count, Pate was sentenced by Gardner to 10 years, with five years suspended, five years to be served and five years probation. On the second count, he was sentenced to five years, with all time to be served. On the third count, he was sentenced to 10 years with all time suspended. All time is to be served consecutively.
Pate has also been ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution. He is currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.
• Eddie Rayburn Collums, Jr., 247 Highway 178 West, Tupelo, entered a guilty plea to one count conspiracy and one count possession of precursor chemicals. On the first count he was sentenced by Gardner to 20 years with all time suspended. On the second count he was sentenced to 20 years with five years probation. All time is to be served concurrently. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution.
• Steven James Williams, 7376 Charbark Point, Southaven, entered a guilty plea to six separate counts receiving of stolen property and one count possession of burglar tools. He was sentenced by Gardner to a total of 65 years, with 10 years suspended and the rest to be served concurrently. He also received five years probation.
Williams was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine in addition to court costs and restitution. He is currently being held in the Itawamba County Jail.
• Tyler James Smith, 1688 Beaver Lake Road, Fulton, entered a guilty plea to two separate counts grand larceny of an individual property valued at more than $250. He was sentenced by Gardner to five years for each count, with five years suspended and four years probation. Both sentences are to run consecutively. Smith was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and pay both court costs and restitution.
• Jessie Esters, 853 New Temple Road, Fulton, entered a plea of guilty to grand larceny of an individual property valued at more than $250. He was sentenced by Gardner to 10 years with all time suspended and five years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and court costs, and $1,614.37 in restitution.
• Mark A. Green, Jr., 523 Fowler Road, Kennedy, Ala., pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. He was sentenced by Gardner to 20 years with all time suspended and five years probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs and restitution.
