Jackie Bennett

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Jackie Wayne Bennett, 58, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, in Southaven. He was born July 30, 1950, in Itawamba County to Roy Clifford and Ruby Tallant Bennett. He was a 1968 graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School in Fulton. He earned a degree in industrial engineering at Mississippi State University. He was an employee of Benchmark Electronics in Huntsville and a member of the Eagles Club.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Senter Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Mike Yielding officiating. Burial was in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one daughter, Sonya White of Aynor, S.C.; three granddaughters, Brooklyn, Breanna and Kaitlyn; three brothers, Roy J. (Johnnie) Bennett of Smithville, Roy C. (Patricia) Bennett Jr. of Starkville and Jerry Bennett of Huntsville; four sisters, Lillie (Mack) Frederick of Huntsville, Nellie (Jim) Gault of Saltillo, Etoyl (Jerry) Alred of Beaumont, Texas, and Pattie (Jim) Armstrong of Shannon; one brother-in-law, James Brown of Fulton; 22 nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Brown; and a brother, Jimmy Bennett.

Pallbearers were Jamie Brown, Jeb Brown, Steve Frederick, Mike Frederick, Riley Frederick, Evan Gault, Cliff Bennett, Brian Bennett and Jack Meaut.

Tim Loague

FULTON - Timothy Hugh Loague , 51, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Oct. 21, 1957, to Trice and Bonnie Payne Loague. He was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church. He was a jeweler the past 34 years, working at Stone’s Jewelers and recently opening Peppertown Jewelers. He was an avid Ole Miss fan.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the McNeece -Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Doug Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Friendship cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Bean Loague of Fulton; three sons, Barrett Loague (Cailen) of Saltillo and Jon Loague and Trent Loague, both of the home; two daughters, Kristie Loague of Tupelo and Leigh-Andra Hardin (Wes) of New Hope; one brother, Randy Loague (Wanda) of Eggville; one sister, Cindy Smith (Joe) of Ballardsville; one grandchild, Lauren Chism; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Reedy; and his parents.

Pallbearers were Jeff Erwin, Chris Loague, Matthew Loague, Kyle Bean, Corey Bean and Cody Bean.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are asked to be made to the Big Oak Baptist Church Youth Fund, 6870 Van Buren Rd, Fulton, MS 38843; or the Jason Rock Memorial Scholarship Fund, 602 W. Hill St., Fulton, MS 38843.

Lorene Harris

TREMONT - Lorene Underwood Harris, 78, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at The Courtyards in Fulton. She was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Itawamba County to Phillip and Virgie Mason Underwood. She was a teacher's aide at Bounds Headstart. She attended New Temple Church of God.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Mark Harris officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Golden.

Survivors are three sons, Ron Harris (Ann) of Tupelo, and Rocky Harris and Ricky Harris, both of Tremont; five grandchildren, Mark Harris, Angela Lindsey, Dustin Harris, Nikki Harris and Hunter Harris; three great-grandchildren, Kimberly Harris, Tyler Harris and Peyton Lindsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Harris, her parents; six brothers, Delmus Underwood, Carmen Underwood, Lawrence Underwood, O.D. Underwood, Onnie Underwood and Virdo Underwood; and one sister, Odessa Newell.

Pallbearers were Tyler Harris, Dustin Harris, Mark Harris, James Underwood, Jason Underwood and Jessie Underwood.

Pauline Reynolds

MANTACHIE - Johnnie Pauline Reynolds, 91, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Landmark Nursing home and Rehab Center in Booneville. She was born March 27, 1918, to Clifford and Trannie Edwards Hood. She was a member of the Family Worship Center. She was employed by Mantachie Manufacturing Co. for more than 30 years. She enjoyed flowers, quilting, her church, and being with her family. She was known and loved by many as "Moma Reynolds."

Services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Family Worship Center in Mantachie with Bro. Wesley Kingsley and Bro. Billy Adams officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Mantachie was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Reynolds (Chris) and Gayle "Mule" Reynolds (Judy), both of Mantachie; two daughters, Mary Kilgo of Saltillo and Sandra Peoples of the Ozark community; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Reynolds of Mantachie; special nephew, L.D. Sheffield of Mantachie; a special niece, Bernice Brock of Keiser, Ark.; 23 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Reynolds, on Dec. 26, 1967; three sons, Larry, Wendell and Dale Reynolds; two daughters, Dorothy Raines and Johnnie Shurden; one brother, Leon Hood; one sister, Obera Roberts; and her parents.

Pallbearers were Barry Reynolds, Wig Reynolds, Larry Wayne Sheffield, Danny Sheffield, Ricky Wigginton and Michael Franks. Honorary pallbearers were Nick Tackett, Zach Mills, and Evan and Alex Kingsley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Family Worship Center building fund.

Arzell Clemons

BELDEN - Arzell “Tat” Clemons died Friday, July 3, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Temple of Compassion and Deliverance in Tupelo with Bishop G.T. Howell officiating. Burial was in Chapel Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc. N.L. Jones & Son Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Catherine Clemons; three daughters, Gloria Penson (Melvin) and and Criffie Bass (Tim), all of Belden, and Kathy Shumpert (Leonard) of Fulton; 10 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elder Orgretia Clemons Wilson of Chicago, Elder Mary Lou Clemons and Deaconess Magnotia Wiseman of Belden; one brother, Erma Lee Clemons of Belden; and many other relatives and friends.

Wayne Walls

HOULKA - Wayne Walls, 62, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his residence.

A graveside service was held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bro. Lane Finley and Bro. Derrick Finley Officiating. Baldwin-Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc was in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat Walls of Houlka; three sons, Mitch Walls (Karen) of Germantown, Tenn., Rick Walls (Danielle) of Algoma and Tom Walls (Rebecca) of Tremont; three sisters, Mary Helen Lyons (Elbert) of Pontotoc, Alice Faye Finley (Sherald) of Randolph and Connye Baker (Trent) of Pontotoc; two brothers, Lee Walls of Houston, Texas, and Phil Walls (Donna) of Pontotoc; four grandchildren, Andrew Walls, Conner Walls, Barrett Holton and Zoee Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruble and Mary Walls; a sister, Rhonda Mae Walls; his grandparents, Joe and Nina Duke, and Mr. and Mrs. W.T. Walls; and two nephews, Greg Finley and Scott Lyons.

Mary Wheeler

AMORY – Mary Ruth Kincade Wheeler, 69, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Services were Sunday, July 12, at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Houston.
