FULTON – Douglas Graham, 63, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Itawamba County to Eucellas and Jesse Ivy Graham. He was a member of the Tilden Church of Christ. He was retired from Hickory Hill Furniture after 31 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he loved his family and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Paden officiating. Burial was in Tilden Community Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Weaver Graham of Fulton; three daughters, Amanda Parker (Don) of Southaven, and Wendy Harbor (Adam) and Chasity Graham of Fulton; two grandchildren, Conner and MacKenzie Parker of Southaven; seven brothers, Aaron Graham (Peggy), Carlton Graham (Barbara), Jerry Graham (Peggy), Jimmy Graham (Melissa), Johnny Mac Graham (Janet) and Billy Graham (Betty), all of Fulton, and Charles Graham (Virginia) of Kenosha, Wis.; nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Ethel Mae Weaver of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean Johnson (Jackie); two brothers, Wilburn Graham and Harles Graham (Jane); and his father-in-law, Luther Weaver.

NETTLETON – Ida Mae Wright Gray, 76, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at her home after a long illness.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Rev. Gary Carroll and Rev. Harvey Reeves officiating. Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Alvis (Robert) of Nettleton and Ramona Laney (Jackey) of the Peaceful Valley community; two sons, Dickie Gray (Glenda) of Plantersville and Clodell Gray (Wanda) of Aberdeen; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

BALDWYN– Marjorie Letson Armstong 70, died Monday June 1, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis after an extended illness.

MANTACHIE – Imogene Harbor Grissom, 81, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Countrywood Plantation.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Rev. Hershal Wiygul officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Melinda Kruyer of Cincinnati, Lisa Grissom, Jan Hernandez and Angela Forst of Suwanee, Ga.; her grandchildren, Matt Kruyer, Anna Kruyer, Taylor Forst, Tanner Forst and Kent Hernandez; her brother, Loyce Harbor, and sisters, Betty Bramlett, Sue Sharp and Nancy Ingram; her sister-in-law, Miss Johnnie Grissom; a host of loving caregivers at Countrywood Plantation guided by Rachel Leathers.
Tom Young
BOONEVILLE – Thomas Guy “Tom” Young, 51, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at his father’s home in the Carolina community of Prentiss County.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at the Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Scott officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Brewer Young, whom he married on Jan. 12, 1990; a son, Jonathan Smith (Lisa) of Booneville; a daughter, Erin Smith of Booneville; his father, Buster Young of Booneville; a sister, Betty Jane Arnold of Booneville; two grandsons, Nathan Smith and Jordan Smith, both of Booneville; a granddaughter, Alayna Smith of Booneville; his mother-in-law, Joyce Brewer of Fulton; and a special cousin and best friend, Gerald Young. He was preceded in death by his mother; an infant brother, Tandy Eastland Young; and his father-in-law, Ulice Brewer.

Leon Maxcy
FULTON – Leon Maxcy, 82, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born Dec. 15, 1926, in Itawamba County to Atlee Sereve and Mary Rosella Lee Maxcy. He was a Baptist and a veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Maxcy’s Pool Hall for 27 years. He worked for Mississippi Railroad for 17 years and he operated a sawmill.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial was in Itawamba Memorial Garden.
Survivors include one son, Gary Maxcy (Debra) of Fulton; two daughters, Laura Ellen Maxcy Gallman, J.D., (Bob) of Dallas, Texas, and Nita Maxcy Pearce (Jeff) of Jackson, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Jason Maxcy, Justin Maxcy, Dawn Sparks, Dixie Sparks and Robert Maxcy Gallman; two great-grandchildren, Sam Maxcy and Mia Maxcy; a granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Maxcy Wallace (Butch); two sisters, Nellie Jackson (Julian) of Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Annie Burton of Florence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Brown Maxcy; a grandson, Darrin Maxcy; a sister, Wilma Fields; and four brothers, Sylvan, Abe, Eckard and Glenn Maxcy.

RED BAY, ALA. – Olon W. Thrasher, 86, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at the Helen Keller Hospital.

FULTON – Robert A. Poore, 82, died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Countrywood Plantation.

FULTON – William David “Dave” Williams, 49, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born May 21, 1960, to Whewell “Tim” and Bobbie Jean Tyra Williams. He was self-employed as a trim carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Williams of Fulton; one daughter, Nicole Dickerson (Josh) of Mantachie; one stepson, Anthony Whitten (Erin) of Tremont; one brother, Eddie Williams (Liz) of Sardis; one sister, Lisa Davis (Rodney) of Saltillo; the mother of his daughter, Vicki Lamb (Barry) of Mantachie; nine grandchildren, Braxton Lovvorn of Fulton, Brooklyn Dickerson and Brody Dickerson of Mantachie, Courtney Whitten, Megan Whitten and Savanna Whitten, all of Fulton, and Erin Worley, April Worley and Heather Worley, all of Tremont; his parental guardians, Newell and Betty Jane Williams of Mooreville; and his extended family, Mike Williams (Karen), Mark Williams (Christy), Missy Williams (Dwayne), Joy Easterling and Jeffrey Williams (Kim), all of Mooreville, and Matt Williams (Kayla) of Mantachie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

TUPELO – Ethel Feltman Parmer, 90, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Billy Langley and Rev. Tim Tutor officiating. Burial was in the Priceville Memorial Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Mann (Roy) of Tupelo and Imarie Hughes (Steve) of Mooreville; four sons, Grover Parmer (Doris) of Fulton, T.G. Parmer (Carolyn) and Wexford Parmer (Wanda), both of Tupelo and Winford Parmer (Joan) of Selma, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
