A stabbing in Fulton last Sunday afternoon resulted in one man being sent to the hospital.
Dejuan Gibson of 801 Martin Luther King Street was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center Sunday after allegedly receiving multiple stab wounds to his back and arm during a confrontation. According to police, his injuries did not appear to be severe.
No arrests had been made at press time, but police say they are investigating the situation and have a person of interest.
Gibson was reportedly stabbed during a large brawl, which occurred at approximately 1 p.m. According to police, the cause of the fight is still unknown, but it involved approximately 10 people. Gibson was reportedly the only person injured during the brawl.
Assistant Police Chief Mitch Nabors arrived at the scene after responding to a 911 call and dissolved the conflict. Afterwards, an ambulance was dispatched to rush Gibson to the hospital for his injuries.
