With the recent news about the man who got arrested because he is suspected of growing marijuana in his garden, it is becoming more obvious that inspite of the matter-of-fact that quite a number of states have approved the planting and selling of the said plant, majority of the American citizens are still adamant at the sight of it.

Now, this article is not written to join the eternal debate on the validity of marijauna, but aims to shed light on why people are not happy about it. 

• It has been proven to be the cause of many crimes.  Undoubtedly, those that are convicted and those that are not yet convicted, have been driven to doing crimes against persons due to being high to marijuana. A sad reality, but nevertheless, is a matter-of-fact.
• Marijuana has a very negative stigma.  Admittedly, it has been in the a bad light even if some movies. books, documentaries, and even custom essays have reiterated the good side of marijuana, it has the negative stigma stuck to it that may never go away.
• People tend tp be afraid of what they do not know. Contrary to what reality tv shows reflect, majority are afraid to take risks, especially in life or death situations.

The legality of marijuana will forever be questioned and the answer might just be in limbo.  Thing is, people want to try it, but they are afraid to. It will be an eternal struggle before the this issue is resolved.
